Call for papers: Parasite and Vector Genomics

Journal of Tropical Medicine

Parasites continue to be a major burden to human health. Efforts to control include sanitation, education, drugs, and vaccines. In the past years, the genomes of several parasites and vectors have been sequenced, with many others underway. Functional genomics work has also been extensively explored. The vast amount of information being produced will be crucial to the development of new control tools and for the understanding of the biology and interaction of these organisms. We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that seek to describe the most recent advances in parasite and vector genomics and how the information is being used to provide new insights into the biology of the organism, host-parasite interactions and how this information can be for the development of control measures.
